In 2005, the provincial government commissioned a telephone survey asking 800 Albertans for their views on the Employment Standards Code. Employers and employees provided their opinions about provisions for leave, restrictions for young workers, which workers should be covered, and enforcement. The Information and Privacy Commissioner directed the release of these results, and they are now available online.
