New and Young Workers

Did you know that...

  • Workers with less than 6 months experience are 3 times more likely to be injured than those with a year or more of experience?
  • Workers under the age of 25 are 33% more likely to be injured on the job than older workers?

If you are a new and young worker, or an employer, supervisor, parent or educator of new and young workers, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) offers many resources designed specifically for you.

This section of the WHS website provides access to information specifically developed for new and young workers, as well as general health and safety information. Links to other resources are also provided.
